Metropolis score 267/8 on day 2 in NCL
DHAKA, Oct 23, 2018 (BSS)-Despite Marshal Ayub and Shamsur Rahman’s half
centuries Dhaka Metropolis not in a comfortable position as they scored 267
for 8 at stumps against Sylhet Division on the second day of the tier-2
fourth round of four-day National Cricket League held on Tuesday at Shaheed
Kazruzzaman Stadium in Rajshahi.
Ayub composed a responsible 74 runs while Shamsur added 63 after Metropolis
lost their openers early.
Zabid Hossain with 39 and Asif Hossain with 2 on the crease as the stumps
were drawn for the day.
Khaled Ahmed was the pickof Sylhet bowler as he grabbed four Metropolis’s
wickets conceding 69 runs. He was well supported by Shamsur Rahman who bagged
two wickets for 42.
Earlier, Sylhet Division resumed their first innings on the second day with
overnight score at 292for9 and finally all out for 312.
