DHAKA, Oct 22, 2018 (BSS)-Terming Jatiya Oikyafront as an extension of BNP-Jamaat, Workers Party (WP) president and social welfare minister Rashed Khan Menon said Jamaat will
take part in the next national election under the umbrella of Jatiya Oikyafront.
He urged the countrymen to remain alert about this ploy of BNP and Jatiya Oikyafront and said this anti-liberation and anti-development force should not be allowed to come to
the power for the sake of maintaining the present pace of development.
Menon said this while speaking at the WP’s parliamentary party meeting at Jatiya Sangsad here today, said a media release.
There are seven MPs of WP in the current JS. They evaluated their five-year activities in the JS and hoped that the number of MP from WP would be double in the next parliament. The meeting said that WP would continue to play stronger role for the people role’s interest.
WP’s parliamentary party secretary Advocate Mustafa Lutfullah conducted the meeting while WP general secretary Fazle Hossain Badsha, Prof Yasin Ali, Sheikh Hafizur Rahman
and Sheikh Tipu Sultan spoke at the meeting.
WP MPs thanked Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury for the peaceful and lively functioning of the JS in the five years.
