JS committee finalizes “Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha Bill 2018” to place it
in JS
DHAKA, Oct 22, 2018 (BSS) – Parliamentary Standing Committee on the
Ministry of Information has finalized the “Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha Bill
2018” and recommended placing it in the current session of the Jatiya Sangsad
(JS).
The meeting discussed the bill elaborately and finalized it through proper
scrutiny, said a press release.
Committee chairman AKM Rahmatullah MP presided over the meeting while
members of the committee Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu, state minister
for information Tarana Halim, Simin Hossain Rimi and Saimum Sarwar Kamal
attended it.
The meeting also recommended taking steps to regularise the jobs of the
artists of Bangladesh Betar and settle their pension issue in line with the
announcement of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Information secretary Abdul Malek and high official of the ministry and JS
secretariat were present at the meeting.
