DHAKA, Oct 22, 2018 (BSS)- Three half centuries from Shahanaj Ahmed, Shahanur Rahman and Zakir Hasan saw Sylhet Division scored 292 for 9 at stumps against Dhaka Metropolis on the first day of tier-2 fourth round of four-day National Cricket League held on Monday at Shaheed Kamruzzaman Stadium in Rajshahi.
Shahanaj top scored with 60 and also shared 89-run opening stand with his skipper Imtiaz Hossain (31) but the rest failed to build any effective partnership Shahanur Rahman (54) and Zakir Hossain (50) saved Sylhet from total embarrassment Metropolis bowlers picked up wickets in regular intervals.
Khaled Ahmed and Ebadat Hossain were on the crease with 5 and 4 runs respectively as the bails were drawn for the day. Qazi Anik, Mohammad Ashraful and Arafat Sunny shared two wickets each conceding 53, 56 and 60 runs respectively.
