RANGPUR, Oct 22, 2018 (BSS) – Officials of Janata Bank Limited (JBL) at a
discussion have stressed on women-friendly banking services to flourish
female entrepreneurship for promoting socio-economic and political
empowerment of the womenfolk.
They came up with the view at the discussion organised by Rangpur Branch
of JBL in observance of its ‘Monthly female client services week’ at its
office in Jahaz Company Mour area of the city on Sunday afternoon.
With Senior Principal Officer of JBL’s Rangpur Branch Shamim Ahmed in the
chair, successful women entrepreneur and Women Affairs’ Secretary of Rangpur
city unit of Awami League Aleya Khatun Lovely addressed the discussion as the
chief guest.
Principal Officer of Rangpur Branch of JBL Golam Sarwar, its Officer Kaniz
Fatema and a number of women entrepreneurs and female clients also spoke.
A number of female clients of the bank and women entrepreneurs expressed
satisfaction over the services, including easy-term loans, being provided to
them by JBL officials of the branch.
The JBL officials urged female entrepreneurs to avail various banking
facilities and easy-term loans being provided by the bank to women
entrepreneurs to successfully flourish their enterprises, trade and business
for their economic progress.
Shamim Ahmed directed JBL officials to ensure all banking services and
provide easy-term loans in a women-friendly atmosphere to the women
entrepreneurs in a hassle-free manner with complete transparency.
The chief guest appreciated the initiatives taken by the present government
led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to provide easy-term loans to the women
to promote their entrepreneurship and create income generation opportunities.
She urged the women entrepreneurs to ensure proper utilisation of the
easy-term bank loans being and engage sincere endevours to flourish their
enterprises to attain economic self-reliant to empower them in the society
and accelerate national development.
