RMCH commits to ensure patients welfare

RAJSHAHI, Oct 22, 2018 (BSS) – Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH)
is pledged bound to ensure welfare of its outdoor and indoor patients and has
been working relentlessly to this end.

Emphasis is being given on making patient-friendly the service-delivery
in the hospital through concerted efforts of all quarters. There is no way
but to improve the services for betterment of the people in general. The
common people especially the poor and marginals are totally dependent on it
for their emergency needs.

The observation came in the 45th meeting of Patients Welfare Samity held
at RMCH conference hall here yesterday. The meeting devised ways and means on
how to improve services of RMCH.

Chaired by RMCH Director Brig Gen Jamilur Rahman, the meeting was
addressed, among others, by social worker Shaheen Akter, Prof Dr BK Dam,
Deputy Director of Department of Social Services Rahedul Kabir and samitee
members Piar Baksha, Dr Tanzila Alam, Dr Shahadat Hossain and Dr Poly Dutta.

RMCH Director told the meeting that various measures were taken to
enhance the standard of services in the hospital.

Step has been taken to enhance the number of bed in Intensive Care Unit
and Coronary Care Unit and introduction of other emergency units for widening
the area of the service-delivery activities.

Emphasis has been given on making all the administrative and management
activities including the services of doctors, nurses, medical technologists
and others concerned transparent and accountable so that the patients could
derive total benefits of the hospital.
