RANGPUR, Oct 21, 2018 (BSS) – Normal import and export activities resumed from today through the Hili Land Port (HLP) in Hakimpur upazila of Dinajpur after nine-day vacation since October 12 on the occasion of Durga Puja festival.

General Secretary of the Customs, Clearing and Forwarding Agents Association (C and FAA) of HLP Abdur Rahman Liton today told BSS that import-export activities remained suspended through the land port from October 12 to 20.

“The imports, exports, customs clearance, loading and unloading of the goods resumed again today through the land port after the nine-day Durga Puja vacation,” he added.

However, Abdus Sabur, Officer-in-Charge of the Immigration Check Post (ICP) at HLP, said movement of the passport-visa holder citizens remained uninterrupted there during the Durga Puja vacation despite closure of import and export activities.
