Hong Kong stocks extend gains at open
HONG KONG, Dec 19, 2017 (BSS/AFP) – Hong Kong shares extended gains soon
after opening on Tuesday, tracking another record finish on Wall Street on
optimism US lawmakers will soon pass a massive US tax cut bill.
The Hang Seng Index added 0.42 percent, or 122.85 points, to 29,173.26.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index inched down 0.06 percent, or 1.90
points, to 3,266.02 and the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on
China’s second exchange, was 0.06 points higher, or 0.00 percent, to
1,889.19.
