3-day int’l water exposition begins Oct 25

DHAKA, Oct 21, 2018 (BSS) – A three-day international conference on water, wastewater technologies and solutions will be held here on October 25-27.

In partnership with the Local Government Division, the Conference & Exhibition Management Services Ltd (CEMS) is organizing the “2nd Water Bangladesh International Expo 2018” at the International Convention City Bashundhara.

Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu will inaugurate the exhibition as the chief guest.

More than 50 exhibitors from nine countries, including India, China, Spain, Italy, Turkey, the USA, Sri Lanka, Thailand and hosts Bangladesh will participate in the event, said Meherun N Islam, president and group managing director of CEMS Bangladesh for the Asia-Pacific and the USA, revealed at a press conference at Economic Reporters’ Forum conference hall today.

At the exhibition, entrepreneurs will be able to be familiarized with new technologies and services related to water.

The exposition will feature one seminar titled “Moving towards water wise Bangladesh” and a workshop titled “Wastewater Treatment and Reuse: Selection and Managing Basic Advance Technologies”.

T I M Zahid Hasan, consultant of CEMS Bangladesh, said age-old systems cannot improve the water supply system so need modern technologies and solutions are needed.

Noyem Sharif, head of marketing and communications of CEMS Bangladesh, said companies who have already present in Bangladesh directly or through agents as well as the companies who want to explore business opportunities in the country would attend at the exhibition.

Tanveer Qamrul Islam, executive director of CEMS Bangladesh, and Md Abdur Rashid, director for research and evaluation of the Rural Development Academy (RDA), Bogura, also spoke.

The exhibitions are open for all from 10.30am to 8.00pm and visitors will be able to pre-register on www.e-registrations.com or register in person at the venue.
