BD U-19 team win 1st Youth Test

DHAKA, Oct 20, 2018 (BSS)- Bangladesh Under-19 cricket team took 1-0 lead in the two-match youth Test series beating host Sri Lanka U-19 cricket team by 13 runs it is the first youth Test held in Colombo, Sri Lanka on Friday.

The young Tigers resumed their second innings on the day with 18 for 1 with a lead of 39. But Sri Lanka bowlers fought back in the early morning by taking wickets in regular intervals dismissing Bangladesh at a paltry total of 115.

Bangladesh set a target of 137 for Sri Lanka. Chasing a small target set by Bangladesh, Sahin Alam and Rakibul Hasan shared 3 wickets each to restrict Sri Lanka for 123 in 43.3 overs and ensured 13 runs win for Bangladesh.

Shamim and Shariful chipped in with one wicket apiece.
