2 drug traders held with 35,000 yaba tablets in Ctg
CHATTTOGRAM, Oct 19, 2018 (BSS) – Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested two
drug traders and recovered 35,000 pieces of contraband yaba tablets after
searching a salt-laden truck at Shah Amanat bridge area under Bakalia thana
early Friday.
The arrested youths were identified as Mohammad Aminul Islam, 26, and
Masfukul Islam Swpan,22.
Masfukur Rahman, Assistant Director of RAB-7 said based on secret
information, a team of the elite force conducted a drive at the crossing of
Shah Amanat bridge around 4.45 am and seized 35000 pieces of yaba tablets
hidden inside a box of the salt-laden truck. RAB also detained the truck.
Rahman told journalists that legal action will be taken against the
detainees.
