RANGPUR, Oct 19, 2018 (BSS) – State Minister for LGRD and Cooperatives
Mashiur Rahman Ranga has urged the Hajis to spread the prime messages of
Islam and its moral education among the people to establish militancy and
exploitation free society.
“The Hajis are honourable persons to the Almighty Allah. They are also
honourable people in the society. So, the Hajis should properly utilise their
social honour and acceptance to speed up social advancement,” he said.
The state minister was addressing a reunion of Hajis organised by Adarsha
Haji Kallyan Samity (AHKS) at Zila Parishad Community Centre in the city on
Thursday afternoon as the chief guest.
Mayor of Rangpur Mostafizar Rahman Mostafa addressed the discussion as
special guest with President of AHKS Alhaj Khorsedur Rahman Prince in the
chair.
Ranga said the present government led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina had
taken massive steps and implemented comprehensive programmes to improve the
overall Hajj management systems in last ten years.
“As a result, sufferings of the Hajis have reduced to the minimum enabling
them in performing all religious rituals during hajj in the holy cities of
Mecca and Medina in a hassle-free manner,” he said.
He called upon the Hajis to play role in boosting national development
through preaching the moral education on religious among the common people
and real messages of truth and decency of Islam, the religion of peace.
Director or Prime Bank Limited Shahadat Hossain, noted homeopathic
physician Dr Akhter Hossain Badal, young entrepreneur Tanvir Hossain Ashrafi
and General Secretary of AHKS Alhaj Dr Zikrul Haque, among others, addressed
