China’s GDP growth slows to 6.5 percent in third quarter
BEIJING, Oct 19, 2018 (BSS/AFP) – China’s economic growth slowed in the
third quarter to a pace not seen since 2009 as a campaign to tackle mounting
debt and trade frictions with the US weighed on growth.
The world’s second largest economy expanded by 6.5 percent in the July to
September period year-on-year, according to official GDP figures released
Friday by China’s National Bureau of Statistics.
