Speaker condoles the death of Ayub Bacchu
DHAKA, Oct 18, 2018 (BSS) – Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Speaker Dr Shirin
Sharmin Chaudhury today expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Ayub
Bacchu, one of the country’s top rock musicians and founder of the popular
LRB band.
In a condolence message, the speaker recalled with profound respect his
contribution to the field of music industry.
Besides, JS Deputy Speaker Md Fazle Rabbi Miah and Chief Whip ASM Feroz
also expressed profound shock at his death.
In separate messages, several ministers also expressed deep sympathy to
the bereaved family members and prayed for eternal peace of the departed
soul.
They included the Minister for Road Transport and Bridges Obaidul
Quader, Minister for Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment Nurul Islam
BSc, Minister for Social Welfare Rashed Khan Menon and Minister for Finance
AMA Muhith.
Bacchu died of a cardiac arrest at his Magbazar residence in the city
this morning at age of 56.
LRB sources said as he felt sick, he was rushed to Square Hospital
around 9 am where the on-duty doctors declared him dead.
