BGB, BSF exchange Durga Puja greetings on Hili frontier

RANGPUR, Oct 17, 2018 (BSS) – Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) exchanged greetings with Indian Border Security Force (BSF) on Hili frontier in Dinajpur today on the occasion of Durga Puja, the greatest religious festival of the Sanaton community.

Members of BGB handed over sweetmeats to their counterpart BSF members and exchanged greetings as per tradition between the two neighbouring border guards.

They also wished continuous peace, prosperity and progress of the two peoples.

Hili Check Post Camp Commander of BGB Mostafa Hossain and his counterpart Commander of Indian Hili BSF Camp, male and female members of the two border guards were present.

Talking to reporters, BGB Camp Commander Mostafa Hossain said the two border guards exchange sweetmeats and gifts on the national days and religious festivals as marks of friendly relations and brotherhood between the two forces.

Similarly, exchange of greetings and sweetmeats took place on behalf of all commanding officers, company commanders, camp and outpost commanders of BGB and BSF on the northern frontiers on the occasion of Durga Puja, BGB officials said.
