Metropolis take healthy lead on bowlers’ day in NCL

DHAKA, Oct 17, 2018 (BSS)- Despite Nayeem Hasan’s five-wicket haul Dhaka
Metropolis took a healthy 242 runs lead over Chittagong Division after the
end of third day’s play of tier-2 third round of four-day National Cricket
League (NCL) held on Wednesday at Shaheed Chandu Stadium in Bogra.

Metropolis back with 51 runs first innings lead, started their second
innings on the third day and scored 191 for 6 at stumps.

Shamsur Rahman with 31 and Sharifullah with 2 on the crease as the stumps
were drawn for the day.

Apart from Nayeem Hasan’s five for 99 runs Shakhawat Hossain took one for
67.

Earlier, Chittagong Division resumed their first innings on the third day
with overnight score at 187 for 6 and finally all out for 236 in reply to
Metropolis first innings total of 287. Thanks to Taskin Ahmed for his
impressive figure of five wickets for 67 runs.
