Bank official killed in Ctg road mishap
CHATTOGRAM, Oct 17, 2018 (BSS) – A bank official was killed and two others
were injured in a road accident at city’s Dewanhat flyover this morning.
The victim was identified as Anwarul Azim, 55, manager and assistant vice
president of Islami Bank of city’s Khatunganj Branch.
Alauddin Talukdar, Sub-inspector of Chattogram Medical College Hospital
police outpost, said the accident occurred in the area at about 9am when a
bus hit a CNG-run auto rickshaw from behind, leaving its two passengers and
driver injured.
Locals brought them to Chittagong Medical College Hospital where doctors
declared Anwarul Azim dead.
The two others injured banker Shahidul Islam, 48, and CNG driver Jahir
Uddin, 40, were admitted to the burn unit of the hospital.
