Chinese stocks end with healthy gains
SHANGHAI, Oct 17, 2018 (BSS/AFP) – Chinese stocks ended a two-day losing
streak with a healthy gain on Wednesday as investors tracked a rally on Wall
Street.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index added 0.60 percent, or 15.28
points, to 2,561.61 and the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on
China’s second exchange, rose 0.81 percent, or 10.18 points, to 1,266.55.
Hong Kong was closed for a public holiday.
