ARREST-SATKHIRA
44 held in Satkhira
SATKHIRA, Oct 17, 2018 (BSS) – Police, in special drives arrested 44
persons including three activists of Jamaat-E-Islami from eight upazilas of
the district in last 12-hour ending at 8am this morning.
Sources with the district police said they were picked up from different
areas of the district.
During the drives, Satkhira Sadar police arrested 14 persons including
three activists of Jamaat-E-Islami, Kalaroa Thana police arrested five
persons, Tala Thana police arrested three persons, Kaliganj Thana police
arrested seven persons, Shyamnagar Thana police arrested five persons,
Assasuni Thana police arrested five persons, Patkelghata Thana police
arrested two persons and Debhata police arrested three persons.
The arrested people are accused in several cases, including charges of
subversive activities, filed with different police stations in the district.
The arrested were sent to jail.
