RIVERS-SITUATION
15 rivers register rise, 71 fall
DHAKA, Oct 16, 2018 (BSS) – Water levels in 15 rivers stations monitored by
Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre (FFWC) have marked rises and 71 stations
recorded falls.
Among the 94 monitored water level stations, five are steady, a bulletin
issued by FFWC said today.
All the major rivers are flowing below their respective danger level.
The Brahmaputra-Jamuna and the Ganges-Padma rivers are in falling trend
which may continue in next 72 hours.
The Surma-Kushiyara rivers are in rising trend which may continue in next
24 hours.
