FAKE-EXAMINEE-JAILED
24 fake examinees jailed in Rajshahi
RAJSHAHI, Oct 16, 2018 (BSS)- A court here yesterday convicted 24
students and sentenced them to suffer two years imprisonment each on charge
of their taking part in a public examination on behalf of others in the
district last year.
Senior Judicial Magistrate Saiful Islam found all of them guilty of the
charge and pronounced the verdict in presence of them.
According to the prosecution story, the students had appeared in Degree
(Pass) English examination (Subject Code-306) at Mohanpur Degree College
centre on July 18 last year. On information, police arrested them red-handed.
College Principal Prof Mokbul Hossain had lodged a case with Mohanpur Police
Station on the same day.
Advocate Md Shamsuddin conducted the case on behalf of the state while
Advocates Amzad Hossain and Akterul Alam Babu defended the accused.
