All set to hold JSC from Nov 1: Nahid

DHAKA, Oct 15, 2018 (BSS) – Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid today said Junior School Certificate (JSC) examinations would begin on November 1 and the government has taken all the necessary preparations for holding the examinations.

“The government has taken all-out measures for holding the examinations without leakage of question papers and unfair means,” he told this at a meeting on law and order situation at his ministry’s conference room.

Each examinee would have to enter the examination hall 30 minutes before the examination start, he said, adding secretary of examination centre would be informed through SMS 25 minutes before the examination about question papers’ set.

“If anyone tries to spread rumour over question paper leakage he/she will not be spared,” the minister warned.

“All educational boards, local administrations and law enforcement agencies have completed all preparations regarding the upcoming public examination,” the minister said.

The law enforcement agencies and education ministry would remain alert during the examination period, he added.

With the presence of Education Secretary M Sohrab Hussian, additional secretaries D Mahamud-ul-Haque, M Javed Ahmed and Nazmul Haque Khan, the meeting was attended by police, RAB and officials of intelligence agencies.
