Dhaka Metropolis score 266/6 on day 1 in NCL

DHAKA, Oct 15, 2018 (BSS)- A responsible batting display by cameo Zabid Hossain and Sharifullah rescued Dhaka Metropolis from certain debacle as Dhaka Metropolis scored 266 for 6 at stumps against Chittagong Division after the first day of tier-2 third round four-day National Cricket League today.

Metropolis suffered early batting jolt as they lost their opener Mohammad Naim (9) early in the innings after they were forced to bat first by Chittagong Division at Shaheed Chandu Stadium in Bogra.

However, inform batsman Shadman Islam (36) pairing with one down Shamsur Rahman (50) added 48 runs for the second wicket stand to take the team to a comfortable position before Shadman perished to Hasan Mahmud.

Taskin Ahmed was remained unbeaten on 21 as the bails were drawn for the day. Shakhawat Hossain and Hasan Mahmud were the pick of Chittagong bowlers as they shared two Metropolis’ wickets conceding 36 and 73 runs respectively.
