RAB arrests 4 alleged JMB operatives in C’nawabganj
CHAPAINAWABGANJ, Oct 15, 2018 (BSS) – Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) claimed
to have arrested four active members of the banned outfit Jamaatul Mujahidin
Bangladesh (JMB) with radical books conducting an overnight drive at a guava
orchard in the district’s Nachole upazila.
RAB-5’s Deputy Commanding Officer Major Shibli Mostofa today said a team
of elite force raided at the guava orchard in the upazila’s Amlain village
around 12:15 am on information that a gang of militants were holding a
clandestine meeting there.
The team arrested three persons identifying themselves as Toufiqul Islam,
Sanaullah and Ziaur Rahman with extremist books and leaflets. Later,
according to the confession of the arrestees, they detained another person
named laden from his house at Chowdala union. All of them are inhabitant of
the district.
RAB claimed that the arrestees acknowledged their active involvement with
JMB.
