Disciplinary action to be taken against party’s troublemakers: Sherif
ISHWARDI, Pabna, Oct 14, 2018 (BSS) – Ruling Awami League leader and Land Minister Shamshur Rahman Sherif today said disciplinary action will be taken if anybody tries to create anarchy centering the availing of nomination paper in the upcoming general election.
“There may be more than one candidate in one electoral seat . . . but the party men who try to create anarchy and speak ill of others must face disciplinary action,” he told journalists at his residence here.
About the party nomination, Sherif said, Awami League high command and nomination board will ensure the party ticket for the next polls.
The next general election, he said, would be held as per the Constitution and the incumbent government will assist the election commission to hold the polls in a free, fair and credible manner.
The land minister urged the people to vote for ‘Boat’, the election symbol of AL, in the next Jatiya Sangsad (JS) election to continue the ongoing pace of development.
Sherif urged all to work unitedly to strengthen the hands of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to build a developed country.
