DMP files 3,899 cases for traffic rule violation
DHAKA, Oct 14, 2018 (BSS) – Traffic division of the Dhaka Metropolitan
Police (DMP) in their simultaneous drives on the city streets on Saturday
filed 3,899 cases against different modes of vehicles for traffic rule
violation.
It also realized over Taka 24.90 lakh as fine for traffic rule violation,
said an official release.
Of the total cases, 260 cases were lodged for driving on wrong sides, 126
for using hydraulic horn, seven for using hotter and beckon light and 11
others for using tinted glass.
Police filed 804 cases against motorcycles and seized 46 others for
violation of the traffic rules.
Traffic police has dumped 14 vehicles and wrecked 733 others.
