DHAKA, Dec 18, 2017 (BSS) – Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader yesterday urged the drivers to drive vehicles carefully in thick fog keeping the speed under control.
The minister made the call while inaugurating a Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation (BRTC) bus depot and mobile app ‘Katodur’ at Gabtali in the city, said an official release here yesterday.
Local MP Aslamul Haque, Road Transport and Highways Division Secretary Md Nazrul Islam, BRTC Chairman Farid Ahmad Bhuiyan and other officials concerned were present on the occasion, among others.
The app ‘Katodur’ will facilitate the commuters with various information, including the vehicle’s route and location and the possible time, said Quader, also Awami League general secretary.
Alongside the city commuters, inter-district route passengers too will get the transportation services from the Gabtali Bus Depot, the minister added.
BRTC’s AC bus services have already been launched on the Nabinagar-Motijheel route, he said, adding that primarily 10 buses will offer transport services to the passengers from Nabinagar to Motihjeel.
