764 puja mandops to be setup in Mymensingh
MYMENSINGH Oct 13, 2018 (BSS) -A total of 764 mandops will be setup at different places here on the occasion of Durga puja the greatest religious festival of Hindu community. The artists are busy with setting up the mandops.
District administration and law enforces agencies have taken special measures for maintaining law and order to celebrate the Durga puja in the district.
District Puja Udjapan Parisad sources said that some 764 mandops in all the 13 upazilas including Mymensingh city this year. Of them, 75 mandops in Mymensingh city, 35 in Sadar upazila, 33 in Dubaora,61 in Haluaghat,45 in Phulpur, 53 in Tarakandha, 57 in Ishwargonj, 28 in Nandail, 58 in Gouripur,107 in Muktagacha ,64 in Phulbaria, 73 in Trishal, 66 in Bhaluka and 19 in Gafargoan upazila.
Organising Secretary of the district Puja Udjapon Parishadu Shankar Saha told BSS that the government initiatives of monetary supports help us to celebrate the Durga Puja.
