AL believes in politics of development: Shahriar
RAJSHAHI, Oct 13, 2018 (BSS)- State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shahriar
Alam has said Awami League (AL) always believes in politics of development
for welfare of people as a whole.
So, there is no alternative to victory of Awami League in the next general
election, he said.
“We will be able to win in the next general election with our election
symbol ‘Boat’ under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister and AL President
Sheikh Hasina,” Shahriar said while addressing a discussion as the chief
guest at Bagha Upazila in the district.
Upazila unit of Jatiya Shramik League organised the discussion to mark its
49th founding anniversary.
Chaired by the unit president Shahbaj Ali, the meeting was also addressed,
among others, by local AL President Ashraful Islam and other members Azizul
Alam, Mosharraf Hossain, Sirajul Islam, Nasim Uddin and Wahid Sadik Kabir.
The state minister called upon the Awami League leaders and workers to
work unitedly to ensure the party’s victory in the parliamentary election.
“BNP is conspiring to foil the next general election as the party (BNP)
understand their political bankruptcy,” he said, adding that BNP will cease
to exist as a political party, if it does not take part in the forthcoming
general elections.
“BNP-led alliance failed to foil the last general election, though it
tried its level best to thwart it. If they try to do the same again, their
attempts will go in vain,” Shahriar Alam said.
He said people of the country want to see continuation of the ongoing
development process to build a happy and prosperous country.
“People of the country are leading a happy life as the present government
has implemented various programmes for building an economically advanced
country,” Alam added.
