DHAKA, Oct 9, 2018 (BSS)- Khulna Division suffered batting jolt in their
first innings as they scored 199 for 6 at stumps against Barisal Division on
the second day of tier-1 second round four-day National Cricket League (NCL)
held on Tuesday at Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium in Khulna.
Barisal Division bowlers threatened early inroad on Khulna’s innings as
they sent back both Khulna’s openers early. However, 106-run sixth wicket
stand between Mohammad Mithun (72) and Ziaur Rahman ( 46 n.o) helped Khulna
to recover from early damage after Khulna slipped 55 for 88.
Kamrul Islam Rabbi and Sohag Gazi shared two Khulna’s wickets conceding
26, 58 runs respectively.
Earlier, resumed the first innings on the second day with overnight score
of 266 for 8, Barisal Division dismissed their first innings at 299.
