Nasim for electing 14-party alliance candidates in next election

RAJSHAHI, Oct 9, 2018 (BSS) – Awami League presidium member and 14-party
alliance spokesman Mohammed Nasim today called for electing the Awami League
candidates in the next general election to give an appropriate reply to
conspirators.

“In the name of ‘Jatiya Okya Jote’, the circle is hatching a deep-rooted
conspiracy to destroy the developing democratic Bangladesh,” he said this
while addressing a mammoth public meeting of 14-party alliance at Shaheb
Bazar Zero Point in Rajshahi city today as the chief guest.

Nasim also Health And Family Welfare Minister called upon BNP to take
preparations for participating in the next general election shunning issuance
of threats of movement. “You (BNP) take preparations for the next national
election instead of giving of threats of movement,” he added.

“BNP made the country champion in corruption repeatedly in the past and
they want to do so again,” he added.

“We will be able to win in the next general election with our election
symbol ‘Boat’ under the leadership of Prime Minister and Awami League
President Sheikh Hasina,” he told the meeting.

Social Welfare Minister and President of Workers Party of Bangladesh
Rashed Khan Menon, Awami League Joint Secretary Jahangir Kabir Nanak, State
Minister for Foreign Affairs Shahriar Alam and State Minister for Information
and Communication Technology Janaid Ahmed Polok spoke as special guests.

Chaired by local unit 14-party alliance convener and Mayor of Rajshahi
City Corporation AHM Khairuzzaman Liton, the meeting was addressed, among
others, by Awami League Organizing Secretary Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury, MP,
Fazley Hossain Badsha, MP, Akhter Jahan, MP, Samyabadi Dal President Dilip
Barua and JSD President Sharif Nurul Ambia.
