RCC-WASTE MANAGEMENT (with picture)
RCC seeks public support for proper solid waste management
RAJSHAHI, Oct 9, 2018 (BSS) – Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) urged city
dwellers to facilitate solid waste management properly for ensuring healthy,
safe and eco-friendly urbanization.
The call came at a discussion on “Solid Waste Management” to mark the
World Habitat Day-2018 yesterday.
BRAC Urban Development Programme and RCC jointly organized the function
with the main theme of ‘Municipal solid waste management’.
Mayor of RCC AHM Khairuzzaman Liton addressed the meeting as the chief
guest with its Chief Executive Officer Shah Momin in the chair.
RCC Chief Engineer Ashraful Haque, Executive Engineer Nur Islam, Brac
Regional Coordinator Farzana Parveen and district representative Jahedul
Islam also spoke.
Liton said the city corporation is committed to quality solid waste
management, urging the city dwellers to extend their cooperation in this
regard.
