Launching job-oriented education system stressed

RAJSHAHI, Dec 15, 2017 (BSS)- Speakers at a discussion here unequivocally voiced for launching job-oriented education method for the sake of enriching the sector of skilled human resources.

They mentioned job-oriented teaching-learning system can be the vital means of lessening the gradually mounting pressure of unemployed population.

The observation came at a follow-up and demand assessment workshop styled “Job-oriented Teaching-learning Method and School Management” held at Hotel Dallas International in the city today.

Campaign for Popular Education (CAMPE) and Shaw-Unnayan jointly organized the workshop in association with European Union.

Former Adviser of a Caretaker Government and Executive Director of CAMPE Rasheda K Chowdhury addressed the workshop as chief guest with President of Shaw-Unnayan Mustafizur Rahman Khan in the chair.

Former Principal of Court Degree College Shafiqur Rahman Badsha, Deputy Programme Manager of CAMPE Mijanur Rahman Akanda and college teacher Mozammel Haque also spoke.

Taking part in the workshop some 40 teachers from different schools discussed various ways and means on how to improve and ensure quality of education to make their students worthy citizens.

Rasheda K Chowdhury put emphasis on enhancing budgetary allocation for the education sector so that the nation can generate competent workforce.

“We need job-oriented education system,” she opined. She also said skilled human resources are very important for hastening the country’s productivity that can take the nation forward.
