Youth die in Faridpur clash
FARIDPUR, Oct 5, 2018 (BSS) – A youth was killed and five others received
bullet injury at Pormeshordi village under Boalmari upazila of the district
yesterday morning.
The deceased was identified as Syed Nazim Ali, 20, son of Idris Ali of
Pormeshordi village.
Shahidul Islam, officer-in-charge (OC) of Boalmari police station, said
supporters of former upazila chairman of Boalmari Syed Abdur Rahaman Bashar
and former UP member Abu Sayeed Mia locked in a fierce clash over previous
enmity.
At one stage of the clash, five to six persons received bullet injuries.
Of the injured, Syed Nazim Ali was brought to Upazila Health Complex
where he succumbed to his injuries.
The injured are undergoing treatment at the hospital.
