8000 family silos distributed in Bhola
DHAKA, Oct 5, 2018 (BSS) – The government today distributed about 8,000 family silos in Bhola district for preserving food grains.
Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed distributed the silos at a function at the sadar upazila as the chief guest.
Speaking on the occasion, the minister said Bangladesh achieved remarkable successes in all sectors in the last 10 years.
“Bangladesh has turned into a role model in the world. Nobody could do the development that the present government did,” he said.
Tofail said BNP carried out horrible persecution after the 2001 election and then many people in Bhola district were homeless.
He asked the leaders and workers of the Awami League to be more aware about BNP, saying they (BNP men) can enter into Awami League and create conflicts.
Among others, Food Secretary Shahabuddin Ahmed, Deputy Commissioner M Masud Alam Siddique and Upazila Nirbahi Officer M Kamal Hossain were present.
