EC to announce election schedule as per constitution: Kabita Khanam
DHAKA, Oct 01, 2018 (BSS) -The Election Commission (EC) would announce schedule for the next Jatiya Sangsad (JS) polls in accordance with the Constitution, Election Commissioner Kabita Khanam said today.
“The Election Commission will declare the schedule of the next parliament election keeping the constitutional bindings in mind,” she told newsmen while replying to questions at her EC secretariat office in the city’s Agargaon.
She said the commission will fix the polls date after holding a meeting and the decision will be announced later.
About the laws of the EC, Khanam said all existing laws of the Election Commission (EC) are very strong and the commission will definitely apply those laws during the polling.
