Gandhi always sticks to policy of non-violence: Amu

DHAKA, Oct 1, 2018 (BSS) – Industries Ministry Amir Hossain Amu today
said Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi had always stuck to the path of truth and
philosophy of non-violence.

“Gandhi struggled against all kinds of discrepancies, unjust and
injustice throughout his life. He upheld the ideology of peace, unity,
brotherhood and good-thinking. He is an inspiration to all,” he said while
addressing a seminar commemorating 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.

Bangladesh-India Friendship Society organised the seminar titled,
‘Mahatma Gandhi and World Peace’ at Cirdap auditorium in the capital.

Columnist Abul Maksud presented a keynote paper on the life and works of
Mahatma Gandhi.

Professor Emeritus Dr AK Azad Chowdhury and Bangladesh-India Friendship
Society general secretary Subir Kushari, among others, spoke at the seminar.
