Hong Kong stocks rally at open

HONG KONG, Nov 22, 2017 (BSS/AFP) – Hong Kong stocks rallied in the first few minutes of trade Wednesday, breaking the 30,000 mark for the first time since November 2007.

The Hang Seng Index rose 0.90 percent, or 269.12 points, to 30,087.19.

The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.20 percent, or 6.83 points, to 3,417.33 but the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China’s second exchange, was slightly lower, inching down 0.51 points to 1,986.94.
