Tofail for unity against evil forces to build pleasant society
BHOLA, Sept 2, 2018 (BSS) – Awami League (AL) Presidium Member and
Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed today called upon all to be united against
evil forces to build a pleasant society.
“We have to be united against the evil forces to build a pleasant
society,” he told a discussion here marking the Janmashtami, birthday of Sri
Krishna.
Sheikh Hasina should be made Prime Minister again in the upcoming
election, the minister said urging all to work to this end.
Bhola district Puja Udjapan Parishad organised the discussion at Bangla
School playground here with its President Principal Dulal Chandra Ghosh in
the chair. Noted journalist Peer Habibur Rahman addressed the discussion as
the special guest.
Tofail urged the Hindu community to feel safe saying, “We are with you
and will be with you in the future”.
When the AL remains in power, the people of the country live in peace,
the AL leader said, adding that under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh
Hasina, the country has become a role model for development in the world.
In the function, the minister assured the Hindu community leaders that
the exiting crematory of the district will be transformed into modern one
before the next general election.
Bhola municipality Mayor Md Maniruzzaman and Bhola district unit acting
Secretary Jahirul Islam Nakib addressed the discussion, among others.
