FARIDPUR, Nov 18, 2017(BSS) – Bangladesh Udichi Shilpi Gosthi, a legendary cultural organization of the country, celebrated its golden jubilee amid much festivity and fanfares in the district.
On the occasion, Udichi district unit arranged a day long program on Faridpur City College premises on Friday.
The program included competition of Ganosangeet, discussion, rally, cultural function and prize distributions among the artistes.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ommey Salma Tanzia inaugurated the program as the chief guest.
The speakers at the function said golden jubilee celebration is undoubtedly a glorious achievement for Udichi which had to pass a long struggle against imperialism, fanaticism and religious bigotry in last couple of decades.
Udichi is also playing a pivotal role for establishing a humanitarian and cultural society in the country, they said, hoping no evil force will be able to stop its journey to reach its goal.
Presided over by Faridpur district unit President Professor Abdul Motaleb, advisor Rafiquzzaman Layek, Secretary Chowdhury Hafizur Rahaman Mintu, organizer Uttom Datta spoke at the function.
Artistes of Udichi rendered various songs on the occasion.
