DHAKA, Aug 18, 2018 (BSS) – Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) has urged the users to file complaint if they are not provided promised internet speed and quality of service (QoS) by the providers.

“As customers, if you are not getting promised bandwidth and QoS, you could lodge complaint to BTRC with appropriate data,” said the telecom regulator in a notice posted on its facebook page today, adding, “It will deal with such complaints giving utmost importance.”

Customers are requested to file complaint online on: http://www.btrc.gov.bd/complain-management or by making call to 100, BTRC’s complaint centre, it added.

Under Bangladesh Telecommunication Act 2001, BTRC is responsible to ensure the rights of consumers, and it is determined to guarantee it.

To this end, the telecom regulator is working relentlessly to improve the internet speed and QoS for the customers, according to the notice.

“Users have the right to enjoy the promised bandwidth and quality service from service providers,” it said.

BTRC requested the consumers to use third-party tools like Ookla, Open Signal, Speed Test Meter and many others to check their current internet speed.
