DHAKA, Nov 9, 2017 (BSS) – Bangladesh Association of Banks (BAB) gave donation to the Prime Minister’s Relief and Welfare Fund today.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina received cheques for donation at a ceremony at her official Ganabhaban residence here this morning.
Prime Minister’s Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim said the chairmen, managing directors, the chief executive officers and directors of different private banks under the BAB handed over the cheques to the premier. The banks included Bank Asia, Jamuna Bank, Mutual Trust Bank, Social Islami Bank and Shahjalal Islami Bank.
BAB Chairman Md Nazrul Islam Mazumder, also the Exim Bank chairman, was present on the occasion.
The premier thanked the authorities of the private banks under the BAB for coming forward to the help of the distressed people.
