DHAKA, Aug 5, 2018 (BSS)- Bangladesh southpaw opener Tamim Iqbal said they have the capability of come back in the series and today it was the example that they have proven after squaring the series winning the match by 12 runs.

“Obviously, the pressure is on them ….. the way we ended the ODI series, perhaps we could not play to our potential in the opening T20I, but we always knew we are capable of making a comeback in the series,” Tamim told the reporters after the match.

Tigers fought back to level the T20I series against West Indies rode on Tamim Iqbal’s blistering 44 ball 74 and during the process he shared an important 90-run fourth wicket stand with his skipper Shakib to help his side to post a challenging total after Bangladesh slipped to 3 for 48.

“No doubt they are one of the best T20I side in the world but if we can play to our potential we can beat any team, after this win we will certainly have the confidence,” he added.

The dashing opener, furthermore, guard against any sort of complacency ahead of the big final clash as they are well aware of the strength of the two time world T20I champion West Indies by saying: “It is not that just because we have won the game it will be easy against them tomorrow those who will start good play well will win the final game.”

Tamim’s 74 runs knock included 6 boundaries and 4 over boundaries including thrashing Andre Russel roughly in the 16th over of the innings when the Bangladesh opener took 22 runs in an over.

Bangladesh will face West Indies in the series deciding final T20I scheduled to be held tomorrow (Monday) at the same venue.
