RANGPUR Nov 1, 2017 (BSS) – A seminar on ”Importance of Education Policy and Research in Higher Education’ was held at Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur (BRUR) here on Tuesday.
Dr Wazed International Research and Training Institute (DWIRTI) of BRUR organised the seminar, a press release said.
Vice-chancellor of BRUR Professor Dr Nazmul Ahsan Kalimullah attended the inaugural session and inaugurated the seminar.
Additional Secretary to the Ministry of Education Md Abdullah Al Hasan Chowdhury conducted the seminar.
Dean of the Faculty of Business Studies of BRUR Md Ferdous Rahman, Lecturers of the Department of Public Administration Asaduzzaman Mandal Asad and Samantha Tamrin and Lecturer of the Department of Women and Gender Studies Zareen Yasmin spoke.
Senior Scientific Officer of DWIRTI Dr Prasannojeet Sarker moderated the seminar participated by research fellows of the institute, its officials, teachers and students of different departments of the university.
Abdullah Al Hasan Chowdhury discussed the importance of time-befitting national education policy and conducting research works to improve standard and quality of higher education in the country.
