Subordinate courts, tribunals start holding trial with physical appearance
DHAKA, June 20, 2021 (BSS) – Subordinate sessions, criminal courts and tribunals across the country have started holding trial proceedings with physical appearance from today.
The decision to hold trial with physical appearance came following an apex court notice signed by Supreme Court Registrar General Md Ali Akbar.
The apex court issued the notice on June 19, saying the normal trial proceedings would be held with physical appearance at all the subordinate sessions, criminal courts and tribunals across the country from June 20.
The notice however, said if the local administration imposes restrictions on movement in any district or cities to halt the transmission of Covid-19, the subordinate sessions, criminal courts and tribunals would be able to hear bail and other emergency pleas virtually.
