3 Faridpur municipalities come under strict virus restrictions tomorrow

FARIDPUR, June 20, 2021(BSS) – The district administration is going to impose strict curb in Faridpur, Bhanga and Boalmari municipalities tomorrow for a week to prevent the sharp rise of Coronavirus.

To address public health emergencies and reduce health risk, the people of the three municipalities have been requested to follow the restrictions from 21 to 27 June, Deputy Commissioner Atul Sarker said in a media briefing at his conference hall yesterday.

District Civil Surgeon Office source said a total of 199 patients died of COVID-19 while 131 patients got admitted to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical College and Hospital here till today.

The total patients reached 11,428 and the number of recovery is 10,517. The recovery rate is 92.02 ? while the death rate is 1.74 % in the district.

The decision of the restrictions came under the resolution of local district committee for preventing the lethal virus as well as following the rules of The Infectious Disease (Prevention, Control and Eradication) Act -2018.

The administration declared a ban on passenger movement on all kinds of public transport, weekly Hat including animal hat, running of residential hotel, entertainment place, community center, park, fair, social and religious ceremonies, political rally, cinema hall, selling of mobile fast food, street food and all kinds of gathering including in groceries and tea stalls.

If anyone needs emergency, he may seek permission for movement from district or police administration.

Kitchen markets and pharmacies adjacent to hospital will remain open following the strict health rules while hotels, restaurants and sweetmeat shops will remain closed.

Besides all govt, semi govt, autonomous and non govt. offices, banks, financial offices will remain open, allowing carry of those officials by their own transport management following the health guidelines.
