CHAPAINAWABGANJ, June 19, 2021 (BSS) – Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)
arrested six persons while they were gambling at Shibganj in the district
last night.
The arrestees are Shish Mahmud, 35, Md Mahidur Rahman, 32, Md Basir, 18, Md
Alam Khan, 23, Md Chutu Zaman, 35 and Sumon Ali, 18.
All arrestees are from Kamalpur Musarpara village under Daipukuria union of
Shibganj upazila in the district.
RAB said acting on a tip off, an operation team of RAB-5 from
Chapainawabganj camp conducted a raid in a house of one Dulu Islam at
Kamalpur village under Daipukuria union of the upazila around 10 pm and
arrested them red handed while they were gambling.
RAB also seized two sets of playing cards and Tk. 6,770 from their
possessions.
Later the arrested persons were handed over to the police.
A case was also recorded in this connection.
