57 poor students get education stipend in Gaibandha

GAIBANDHA, June 18, 2021 (BSS) – A total of 57 poor but meritorious students of higher secondary level in the district got education stipend from SKS Foundation, a local reputed NGO on Thursday.

Deputy Commissioner (DC)Abdul Matin distributed the stipend money among the students at a function held at the hall room of SKS School and College as the chief guest with executive chief of SKS Foundation Rasel Ahmed Liton in the chair.

DC Abdul Matin in his speeches advised the students to be more serious and be studious to make good results in all exams including public ones to be worthy citizens of the country so that they could serve the nation.

He also urged them to do better work in a bid to push forward the country towards desired development by using their merits in future.

The function was also addressed, among others, by the principal of the academic institution Md. Abdus Sattar, vice principal Dr. Anamika Saha, assistant director Md. Imran Kabir and public relations officer of the organization Ashraful Alam was the moderator.

SKS Foundation distributed the cheques of stipend of Taka 6.84 lakh to 57 students with the financial support of Palli Karma Sahayak Foundation (PKSF).

Later, DC Abdul Matin also inaugurated a corner at the school in the name of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman to help the students know about Bangabandhu.
