CHAPAINAWABGANJ, June 18, 2021 (BSS) – One more person died of Covid-19 during the last 24 hours raising the total number of deaths to 86 in the district.
“The number of Covid-19 cases climbed to 3,396 as 75 more people were detected positive after testing 395 samples in the district during the period while the infection rate is 18.98 percent,” sources in the Civil Surgeon Office in Chapainawabganj confirmed.
The new fatality is reported from Chapainawabganj Sadar upazila.
Among the newly detected patients, 24 people are from Sadar upazila, eight from Shibganj upazila, 20 from Gomastapur upazila, 20 from Nachole upazila and three from Bholahat upazila.
A total of 1,295 patients, in which 72 in dedicated Covid-19 hospital and others in home quarantine, are undergoing treatment in the district.
Meanwhile, 2,015 patients have recovered from the disease here, the sources added.
