Swapan asks entrepreneurs to play role in ensuring sustainable development
DHAKA, June 17, 2021 (BSS) – State Minister for Local Government Rural Development and Cooperatives Swapan Bhattacharya today urged entrepreneurs to play an important role in ensuring sustainable economic development of the country.
He made the call while inaugurating a loan distribution programme initiated under the Taka 300-crore stimulus package for COVID-19 affected entrepreneurs, announced by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
The function was held at the conference room of the Rural Development and Cooperatives Division at the Secretariat here, a press release said.
Speaking as the chief guest, Swapan said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has asked the young generation to be entrepreneurs, rather than running after jobs.
“We have to create new entrepreneurs. Apart from creating new employment, it is possible to increase productivity of goods and services and ensure sustainable development through new entrepreneurs,” he said.
